ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for Quality Control Laboratory Analysts to join our team in Zamudio on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Area Manager and providing support to the technical team, you will participate in the laboratory’s various activities, including conducting analyses, taking samples, performing calibrations, and documenting results, ensuring compliance with established procedures and applicable best practices at all times.
Mission
Carry out the assigned tasks in accordance with the objectives established by the SCC Area Manager, providing support to the technical team and contributing to the smooth operation of the laboratory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analytical Activity: Organize and perform analyses using physicochemical and instrumental methods, in accordance with established procedures.
- Work Organization: Organize and manage assigned tasks as part of the laboratory’s routine operations, ensuring their proper execution and follow-up.
- Sampling: Perform sampling tasks and assist in the proper management and traceability of samples.
- Equipment and Calibrations: Organize and perform calibrations on equipment subject to internal calibration, following the applicable procedures.
- Documentation and Traceability: Accurately record and document the results obtained in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
- Best Practices: Comply with good laboratory practices, as well as established safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
- Teamwork: Provide support to the technical team and collaborate with other members of the department to help achieve the department's objectives.
- Perform any other activities that may be required by their hierarchical and/or functional superiors within the scope of duties corresponding to their professional group.
Requirements
- Training and Technical Knowledge
- A vocational degree (non-university) in biosciences or a similar field of study.
- Additional training related to laboratory quality control.
- At least 2 years of experience providing support or performing tasks related to quality control, and at least 1 year of experience in specific laboratory operations.
- Experience or knowledge of physicochemical and/or instrumental analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of good laboratory practices and the ability to work in accordance with established procedures.
- Computer Science at the User Level.
- Fluent spoken and written English (B2).
